Video Installation 1996-2008
Video installation work between 1996-2008 was mostly collaborative with Gillian Brown. We shared a fellowship at Harvard, 1999-2000, working on an interactive video installation, Turnaround Time.
Salsa Paintings 1986-1993
First work that was unique to me... It was an attempt to account for the most immediate experience, especially spatial. Music being present in the space became an accidental subject.
Undergraduate Student Work 1976-1981
As an undergraduate at UC Santa Cruise I studied realist drawing
and painting with Miguel Arguello. I was exposed to abstract expressionism which would influence me later.
