In August 2020 my mother died and I became free in a way I hadn't been in many years.  I bought an RV, took off and ultimately landed in Ajo Arizona where I rented studio space for the winter..  I began culling and developing the hundreds of images I had accumulated.  Most of this new work is layered with images printed on silk gauze.  They gradually formed a group that I thought of as being primarily in memory of my mother.  It was covid time; a time of tribulation for many but, for me, a time of solitude and freedom..
